Language Assistance Plan

Native Finance adopts the Language Assistance Plan (LAP) process outlined by the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) fund. As an organization, we provide services to individuals or families who do not speak English or have limited proficiency in the language. For a more thorough explanation of the LAP, visit this link:

CDFI Fund Access Plan for LEP Individuals

The purpose of this plan is to identify the responsibilities of the CDFI Fund for providing limited English proficient (LEP) individuals with meaningful access to vital documents and information about relevant CDFI Fund programs and services.

Customers

The CDFI fund does not work directly with the communities they service; rather, they work through their funded organizations to expand their goal. There are accessible resources for the public to speak with representatives from the CDFI Fund. Additionally, LEP persons can request relevant materials from the CDFI Fund via www.cdfifund.gov, where they can also find language assistance.

Policy

The CDFI policy reinforces the belief that all consumers, regardless of language, should have meaningful access to information about our programs through both the CDFI Fund and Award recipients. The policy reinforces guidelines consistent with Title VI and the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Services

There are translation services available, and a brief description of the CDFI Fund's programs and customers, as well as plans to serve LEP individuals on the cdfifund.gov website.

Assistance

There are several services offered by the CDFI Fund, including but not limited to Spanish fact sheets about CDFI programs, contracted services for translations of materials, and translations of information for all languages.
